Seeds are sown with a gap of 30 cm. Then The dead seeds are cleared at regular intervals and they flourish it in wet or moist heat of monsoon. When once reaped the stalks are left in a ditch for retting . Then loose strandsu collected from the stalks is done till it is dried. Then they collect the bundles and send them to market.
