To Find : (2.9)²

Solution:  (2.9) = (3 -0.1)

             Sqaring both sides.......

                (2.9)²=(3 -0.1)²

                (2.9)²=[(3)²- 2(3)(0.1) + (0.1)²]........................[a-b]²=[(a)² - 2(a)(b)+ (b)²]

                (2.9)²=[9- 0.6 + 0.01]

                (2.9)²=[9.01- 0.6]

                (2.9)²=[8.41]

          So,(2.9)²=8.41

2.9²

Rewrite it in the format (a - b)²:

= (3 - 0.1)²

Apply algebraic identify (a - b)² = a² - 2ab + b²:

(3 - 0.1)² = 3² - 2(3)(0.1) + (0.1)²

Evaluate each term:

(3 - 0.1)² = 9 - 0.6 + 0.01

Combine like terms:

(3 - 0.1)² = 8.41

Answer: 2.9² = 8.41
