t=2seconds
s=1500m/s
d=???(to be calculated)

d=s*t
d=1500*2/2
d=1500*1=1500

Here, the time 't' is given 2 sec.

And the velocity 'v' given is 1500 m/s.

But the time taken to reach the surface will be t/2 or 2/2 or 1 sec.

We know that:

v = λ/t

or, 1500 = λ/1

or, λ = 1500 m.

Hence, the depth of the water/ displacement from surface is 1500 m.
