A/Q,
- The sum of the three consecutive numbers (x, x + 1 and x + 2) is 18.
➟ x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 18
➟ 3x + 3 = 18
➟ 3x = 18 - 3
➟ 3x = 15
➟ x = 15/3
➟ x = 5 ★
Therefore,
- First no. x = 5
- Second no. (x + 1) = (5 + 1) = 6
- Third no. (x + 2) = (5 + 2) = 7
∴ Hence, the required consecutive numbers are 5, 6 and 7 respectively.
Option (a) is correct as 5 is the smallest number
