  • If there was only one party in democracy then we would not have called it a democracy. Your vote will be of no value whether you are giving vote or not that hardly would matter. Government will be formed by that very party even if no one liked the party. So it is necessary to have two parties or more.
  • It gives a fair chance to the two parties to compete in elections to come to power.

Advantages. Some historians have suggested that two-party systems promote centrism and encourage political parties to find common positions which appeal to wide swaths of the electorate. It can lead to political stability which leads, in turn, to economic growth.....
