Theta is a measure of the rate of decline in the value of an option due to the passage of time. It can also be referred to as an option's time decay.

Answer:

See theta is a variable term which is mainly used to consider the angle b/w two sides as it is a 2d variable, which can have any value b/w 0 to 2π. If considered in trigonometric functions  the value is going to repeat after 2π. But you can also take it for calculating other variable values. I think it don't have any numerical value but can just be used to describe angles.

Maybe we can also say that when theta is added to trigonometric symbols like cos, sin, tan etc it gains value like cos90=0.
