Heya Frnd ........ ☺

↔GIVEN THAT :-↔

VAPOUR DENSITY OF GAS = 11.2

↔TO FIND :-↔

VOLUME OCCUPIED BY 2.4 GRAMS OF THIS GAS.

↔ SOLUTION↔

We know that :-

vapour \: density \: (v.d.) \: = \: \frac{molar \: mass}{2}

So,

Molar mass => 2 × V.D.

=> 2 × 11.2 => 22.4 g.

Now,

n (gas) = Given mass / Molar mass

=> 2.4 / 22.4

=> 0.107 moles.

Now,

n = (volume of gas at STP / 22.4)

=> 0.107 = Volume / 22.4

Therefore ,

 \boxed{volume \: of \: gas \: = \: 2.4 \: litres}

V.D. = MM /2
11.2 = MM/2
MM = 22.4 g

n = 2.4 / 22.4
n= 24/ 224

24/224 = v / 22.4
v = 24 x 22.4 / 224
v = 2.4 l
