Veena offers a discount of 10% on all the items at her shop and still makes a profit of 2%.What is the cost price of an article marked at Rs. 280?

MP =₹ 280
SP = 280-(10/100)*280 = ₹ 252
Profit percentage
= ((SP-CP)/CP)*100=2/100
=>(2/100)*CP + CP =SP
=>102CP = 25200
=> CP = 25200/102 = ₹ 247
