Given :

Velocity of a car started from rest reaches 24 m/s in 4 seconds .

To Find :

Acceleration of the car .

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Initial\:Velocity=0\:m/s}⟼InitialVelocity=0m/s

\longmapsto\tt{Final\:Velocity=24\:m/s}⟼FinalVelocity=24m/s

\longmapsto\tt{Time\:Taken=4\:seconds}⟼TimeTaken=4seconds

Using 1st Equation :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{v=u+at}⟼

v=u+at

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{24=0+a(4)}⟼24=0+a(4)

\longmapsto\tt{24=0+4a}⟼24=0+4a

\longmapsto\tt{24=4a}⟼24=4a

\longmapsto\tt{a=\cancel\dfrac{24}{4}}⟼a=

4

24

\longmapsto\tt\bf{a=6\:{m/s}^{2}}⟼a=6m/s

2

So , The Acceleration of the car is 6 m/s² .

Three Equations Of Motion :

v = u + at

s = ut + 1/2 at²

v² - u² = 2as

Here :

v = Final Velocity

u = Initial Velocity

t = Time Taken

a = Acceleration

s = Distance Travelled
