b= 6 m

h=1.5m

v= 4 km/h

therefore, l=4 km per hour

therefore water that would be flowing in 10 minutes=10*4/60=2/3km=2000/3m

area of irrigation= area water flowing in 10 minutes

volume of water which irrigates the land= volume water flowing from canal in 10 minutes

and 8 cm or 1/8 m of standing water is required for irrigation

therefore,

l*b*h=L*B*H

l*b*1/8=2000/3*6*1.5

l*b=48000sq. m

therefore, area to be irrigated when 8 cm of standing water is required=48000 sq. m
