According to Question

Radius of pipe = 7/2 Cm = 3.5 Cm

Also rate  = 72 Cm per second
which means that height of pipe covered by water in 1 sec

H = 72 Cm

So Volume of water flowed in 1 sec = pi r^2 *  H
                                                         = 22/7 * 49 /4 * 72
                                                        = 2002 Cm^3

Thus Water flown in 1 hour  = 3600 * 2002 = 7207.2 Litres

Answer: The number of liters of water is 9979.2 liters which is being pumped out in 1 hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Diameter of pipe = 7 cm

Radius of pipe is given by

\frac{7}{2}

The flow of water is 72 cm per second and the water is being pumped out in 1 hour.

so, Height of pipe is given by

Distance=Speed\times Time\\\\Distance=72\times 60\times 60\\\\Distance=259200\ cm

Now, we need to find the number of liters i.e. Volume of pipe which is given by

Volume=\pi r^2h\\\\Volume=\frac{22}{7}\times 3.5\times 3.5\times 259200\\\\Volume=9979200\ cm^3

As we know that

1000\ cm^3=1\ ltr\\\\9979200\ cm^3=\frac{9979200}{1000}=9979.2\ ltr

Hence, the number of liters of water is 9979.2 liters which is being pumped out in 1 hour.
