Water is never added to acid in order to dillute it.why????

adding water to the acid is highly exothermic reaction which will ultimately result in breaking of container or spurting of acid on our body part therefore acid is always added to water .

To dillute the acid,we use water but the thing which we won't use is acid.
That is to dillute the acid we won't use another acid.
