- Unlike other materials calcium carbonate is rather very dry in nature.
- Hence to get a joint it by applying heat and air pressure is not possible in this case.
- For example: Joining a metal body is easier using heat for under pressure they form a molten state which is easier to join and chalk being very dry cannot be turned into molten state easily hence it is rather very tough to join a broken piece of Chalk.
