we know that only few acids conduct electricity . but according to chemistry, only metals conduct electricity. but metal oxides are basic in nature like Cuo.
so the acids like HCl,H2SO4 ,etc must not conduct electricity even though they have hydronium ions
so which is wrong?

When we create a solution of acids in water, they dissociate into ions.
HCl + H2O => H3O + Cl-
Ions are charged particles. They DO conduct electricity.
Hence acid solutions in water conduct electricity because they dissociate into ions, even though they don't contain metals.
