whales heart must be much stronger than a human's heart . why ?
Answers
Two reasons: One being they are much bigger and therefore necessarily their heart muscle is bigger and stronger than our own. The second reason is that the water they spend their lives in expends more pressure upon them than the weight of the atmosphere above us. They actually take on all the pressure of the atmosphere and the pressure of whatever depth of water they dive into. The heart gets constricted by this pressure and must be stronger to overcome this. A good example of this is how boa constrictors kill, they dont suffocate their prey, they actually cause the victims heart to stop because it isnt strong enough to push back against the pressure applied by the snake coiling around its victims body. Whale and other sea mammals probably couldnt be killed by boa constrictors for the strength of their hearts.
