What advantage does Ameaba and WBC derive by changing shapes

WBC's have ameboid shape which help them to squeeze out or easily come out of the walls of blood vessels in case any germ enters the body(diapedesis). Their ameboid shape also helps them to engulf bacteria(inflammation).
