2 Ca + O 2 = 2 CaO

which means 2 moles of Ca reacts with 1 mole of Oxygen gas to give 2 moles of CaO
simplest ratio = 2:1:2
given mass of Ca is 10g
=> no. of moles of Ca in 10g = 10/40 = 0.25 moles

=> by ratio for formation of CaO , 0.125 moles of CaO will be formed

0.125moles = mass of CaO/ Molar mass of CaO
=> mass of CaO = 0.125* 56
=> mass of CaO = 7 g

Therefore 7g of CaO will be formed from 10g Calcium.

2Ca + O2 --> 2CaO

Which means 2x40g of Ca will give 2x56g of CaO

Then 10g of Ca will give y(say)

So y=10x2x56/2x40

-> y= 14g

14g of CaO is produced by 10g of Ca

Thank you..!
