The advantages of grading of the produce are the graded produce gets higher price by 10 to 20 %. By selling the graded produce ,the sellers can realize the higher profits from their produce.When some part of crop is damaged due to lodging or some disease then grading becomes more important.

The grading process of produce should be done according the norms set by the government or procurement agencies.
