what are bacteriophages and their types? identify their shape

Bacteriophages are viruses which kills bacteria.They are numbered T1 to T7b as their types . the shape is tadpole like with a head and a tail

A bacteriophage is a virus that infects bacteria or which parasitizes a bacterium by infecting it and reproducing inside it.

There are two main types of bacteriophages:-

i) Virulent phages

ii) Temperate phages

They come in many different shapes but most of them have a head or capsid and a tail.
