AUTOTROPHS:
The organisms which do not depend on others for their food and makes their food by their own are known as AUTOTROPHS.
e.g. green plants ,some bacterias

They can be divided into two categories:

PHOTO-AUTOTROPHS:
The organisms which depend on sunlight for the formation of food are called PHOTO-AUTOTROPHS.
e.g. green plants

CHEMO-AUTOTROPHS:
The organisms which make their food from the chemicals which are present inside them are called CHEMO-AUTOTROPHS.
e.g. sulphur bacteria , cyanobacteria
