A normal human cell is diploid that contains 46 chromosomes in 23 pairs. Thus, when the cell undergoes mitosis, the cells still has the full chromosome with the two sister chromatids.

In Sexual progeny there are two sets of chromosome (one from father and one from mother)

Father=44+XY     (Father is a male so his chromosome will be XY)

Mother=44+XX    (Mother is a female so her chromosome will be XX)

Father will produce two set 22+X and 22+Y

Mother will produce two set 22+X and 22+X
