A chemical reaction having a common intermediate in which energy is transferred from one side of the reaction to the other.
Example: the formation of ATP from ADP + P is endergonic.

This is an endergonic reaction and the energy is supplied to this reaction by another reaction which has to be exergonicreaction i.e. ATP which can become ADP+energy.
Another example:glucose + phosphate becomes glucose.6.phosphate
