what are currents? what causes these currents? according to class 9 goyal brother's geography book. pg.107 question no. 1(Tides and ocean currents)

An current (in ocean) is a continuous, directed movement of sea water caused by a number forces acting upon the water, including wind, the Coriolis effect, breaking waves, cabbeling, and temperature and salinity differences.
