what are deliquescent substances??

These are water soluble substance which absorb moisture from the air and then dissolve in the absorbed moistures to change into liquid state and this phenomenon is called dilenquescens .

A deliquescent salt is a salt which when exposed to air, absorbs moisture from it and turns into a solution.
