Fossils r preserved remains of dead plants and animals that lived in the past.
they tells us about the development of the structures from simple structured to complex structured organisms.They tells us about the phases of evolution through which they must have undergone in order to sustain themselves in the competitive environment.The fossils can tell us about the species evolved and its adaption towards the environmental conditions and thus help us in understanding the natural selection easily.

Fossils are remains  of organisms that lived in the geological past .Fossils tell us that the evolution has taken place gradually over long time.  This is evident from the fact that the
