Fundamental duties refer to the basic obligation or duties of the citizens of India. It has been enlisted in the Part IV-A of Article 51-A of the constitution and aims at promoting unity and patriotism in India.

The five fundamental duties are:

1. Abide by the rules enlisted in the constitution, respect the National Anthem and the National flag.

2. Protect and upload the integrity as well as the sovereignty of our country.

3. Maintain the spirit of brotherhood among all fellow citizens.

4. Protect any public property as one's one property.

5. Preserve our natural environment and also our culture.
