KashyapShalu: covalent compounds in which only carbon and hydrogen are present,are called hydrocarbons...
KashyapShalu: e.g. CH4 , C2H2, HCOOH etc.

Compounds of Hydrogen and Oxygen are called hydrocarbons.
Eg. CH4(methane) is the simplest possible hydrocarbon.

HYDROCARBONS are those organic compounds which consists of Hydrogen n Carbon only making long chain with each other.
For example == natural gas, petroleum etc.
