The force of attraction between the molecules of a substance is called intermolecular force of attraction.
In solid, intermolecular force is maximum
In liquid, intermolecular force is less than that in solid but more than that in gases
In gases, intermolecular forces are least

HEY MATE.....

INTERMOLECULAR FORCES --> The forces exist between the particles of matter is known as intermolecular forces.

These r related to three states of matter as...

1. solid has great intermolecular force which bind the particles of solid.

2.liquid has less intermolecular force than solid .

3.gases have less intermolecular force than liquid.
