Isotopes are the forms of an element which have same atomic number but different atomic mass number. They are the forms of the same element.

Applications of Isotopes in medical field:-
1. An isotope of Cobalt is used in the treatment of cancer
2. An isotope of Iodine is used in the treatment of cancer.

Example : ( 17 Cl^35 ,17 Cl^37)

★Two application of isotope in medical field

→ Reactor Radioisotopes ( half - life indicated)

→ Bismuth - 213 ( 46 min ) : Used for TAT

→ Iodine - 123 : whole body scan
