Phytoplankton are the aquatic small plants. They are the key components of the ocean. It provides food for many kinds of animals in the ocean and also in the fresh waters.
Example: Diatoms, Green algae.
Zooplankton are a type of heterotrophic plankton that range from microscopic organisms to large species.
Example: Jelly fish, Salp etc..
