A group of atoms carrying a charge is known as polyatomic ion.

Polyatomic Cation →A group of atoms carrying a positive charge is known as polyatomic cation.
Example of polyatomic cation: NH4+

Polyatomic Anion→A group of atoms carrying a negative charge is known as polyatomic anion.
Example of polyatomic anion: NO3-.
