A lyophillic colloid ( gelatin.natural gum etc..) that when present in small quantities keep lyophibic colloid from precepating under coagulation of some electrolyte ....REMEMBER if u kno the gold no.. u can find protective no. by just reversing..i.e. protective power is inversly proportional to gold no.... i think u very well know about gold no......☺☺☺
