a quasar is a quasi-stellar radio source, and it is a distant galaxy which emits radiation and light, and has a black hole in it
a pulsar is a pulsating star, is a neutron star which spins very fast and sends out radiation, and has a very powerful magnetic field
-the emission of radiation from these celestial bodies is detected from earth as radio waves
