Originating in the Plateau of Tibet in the region of Lake Manasarovar, the river Indus is one of the longest rivers of Asia. Unpredictable flooding, high rate of evaporation are some of the natural disadvantages of this river. There are some artificial or human-made limitations of this river which include poor irrigation techniques, high maintenance cost etc.
