WHAT IS MICROWAVE TRANSMISSION?

Microwave transmission uses a frequency range from 300MHz to 300GHz to carry signals. These waves travel in a straight line and cannot penetrate buildings. These uses big antennas called microwave towers to send and receive data.

ADVANTAGES OF THIS TRANSMISSION

1) These are useful in transmitting data INA difficult terrain.

2) The towers for these waves can be set up at the top of a building.

3) To send and receive microwaves, the transmitting and receiving antennas should be aligned because these waves travel in a straight line.

DISADVANTAGES OF THIS TRANSMISSION

1) The signals sent through microwave are not secure.

2) The cost of setting up microwaves is more than that of the radio waves.

3) These signals are impacted by weather conditions.
