Answer:
The Architectural Features: The Mattancherry is a 2-storey quadrangular palace built in a traditional Kerala style. There were many articles of historical interest: palanquins, armory, old silver and hundreds of years of history of the old Maharajahs. There are four separate wings which open into the central courtyard which houses the temple of royal deity Pazhayannur Bhagavathi. There are also temples of Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva on the two sides of the palace. The ceilings are well designed by wood carved floral designs including the design of an inverted lotus. The flooring which imitates the use of black marble, is made by using burnt coconut shells, lime, plant juices and egg whites
