What are the difference between latitude and longitude

Latitude and longitude are used together to specify the geographical coordinates of a location on Earth. Latitudes, represented by the Greek letter phi (Φ), are called parallels and longitudes, denoted by the Greek letter lambda (λ), are called meridians.

Lattitudes are the parallel lines ..they do not meet each other ..longitudes are the horizontal lines ..they will meet at poles and deviate at equator..both lattitudes and longitudes are the imaginary lines drawn on the globe ..
