aerobic respiration requires oxygen for breaking down the substrate while in anaerobic no oxygen involves and products are usually alcohol,

anaerobic respiration is done by methanogens,like for biogas production and aerobic respiration is also an example of human cellular respiration

The respiration which takes place involving oxygen is called aerobic respiration. Example - Aerobic respiration is carried out in humans.

While the respiration which doesn't involve oxygen in it is called anaerobic respiration. For example - Respiration in Yeasts is anaerobic respiration.
