Radar use radio waves , which are type of electromagnetic waves . Sonar use Echo principal by sending out waves under the water or throughout the body to locate any object. Sonar is used by human to investigate under sea object and radar is used to determine the range ,angle or velocity of object . It is used to detect the aircraft , ships , terrain , etc

Sonar is used in field of scientist to find undersea object and Radar is mostly used my army .
