what are the disadvantages of wind vane

The disadvantages of wind vane are it is so noise that my cause noise pollution and my spoil the view for people living near them . It determine wind direction that enable best possible positioning of wind distributes........this are some disadvantages

*they don't give complete information like it is a steady wind , how fast strong is the wind etc
*they need to be placed high above the ground , if they are placed near the ground obstructions are taken by trees
