Light, temperature and nutrition etc are the some factors which affect seed germination.

Light:- For forming its first leaf light is required therefore it helps in formation of the leaves.

Temperature:- A fixed suitable temperature is required for the germination process. The favorable temperature in this case of germination is of about 20-25°C. While if temperature is of 0-5°C or even above then 45°C then germination process is not possible for the plants.

Nutrition:- It is also a very important factor and it plays a very important role. In the duration of seed germination cotyledons or endosperm provides food to plants.
