a) These are the resources whose quantity is known.
b) These resources are being used in the present.
ex- The rich deposits of coal in Ruhr region in Germany.
Potential resources:
a) These are the resources whose total quantity is not known.
b) These resources are not being used in the future. They will be used in the future.
ex- Uranium which is found in Ladakh.
