that is the formula of x2+y2= (x+y)(x+y)

sahilverma: dear wry formula of (x + y)2 is = x2 + 2xy + y2
sahilverma: x2 - y2 = (x - y)(x + y)
x2 + y2 = there is no such a formula.
wry: hey sahilverma kindly calculate( x+y)(x+y) properly
wry: it is equal to x^2 + y^2 +2xy
sahilverma: i don`t know very well refer to diganta`s ANS.
Diganta: (x+y)(x+y)=x^2+xy+xy+y^2=x^2+2xy+y^2=(x+y)^2.So,how can it be (x^2+y^2) ?
wry: thats what i am saying to sahil verma
sahilverma: i have x2 - y2 = (x - y)(x + y) in mind so i ans..
sahilverma: ^2 + y^2 = x^2 + 2xy +y^2 - 2xy
= (x + y)^2 - 2xy is right ans.

Given:

 {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}

To find:

the value for

 { x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}

Solution:

 {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  = ( {x + y})^{2}  - 2xy

Let's consider

x = 2 and y = 3 and solve the equation.

 {2}^{2}  +  {3}^{2}  = ( {3 + 2})^{2}  - 2 \times 3 \times 2

4 + 9 =  {5}^{2}  - 12

13 = 25 - 12

13 = 13

hence proved.

The formula for

 {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  = ( {x + y)}^{2}  - 2xy
