As for function DNA is basically a string of genes and RNA is what converts the information in the DNA into proteins. DNA is the control molecule of the cell and sits in the nucleus. It is made of two strands, connected by hydrogen bonds. Each strand is made of nucleotides.

DNA: Deoxyribonucleic Acid, It's present in Eukaryotic cells and it's function is to controll and handle all the life process of the cell to sustain.
RNA: Ribonucleic Acid, It's present in Prokaryotic cells and performs the same function but it's little bit unprotected and can say that it's of very old technology.
