When you look at your photo, it implies that you are looking at an image which has been obtained on a screen. but when you look at your face in a mirror it can not be obtained on a screen. Thus the photograph is a real image as it CAN be obtained on a screen while you face in a mirror is a virtual image as it CANNOT be obtained in a screen.

Further, I have read somewhere that you you look 5 times more beautiful when you look into a mirror than you actually are. I don't know why but this is a proven fact. Such is not the case in photograph.

Explanation:

i. The image in the mirror is laterally inverted while in a photograph this may not be the case.

ii. Image in the Photograph -Real image

Image in the Mirror -Virtual image
