If motion of no confidence passed by this house the prime minister and his cabinet need to resign immediately. The budget is presented in the Lok Sabha by the Finance Minister. Any Legislation can't become law without passing this house. That's why Lok Sabha is more powerful than upper house Rajya Sabha. The Rajya Sabha meets in continuous sessions, and unlike the Lok Sabha, the lower house of Parliament, is not subject to dissolution. However, the Rajya Sabha, like the Lok Sabha can be prorogued by the President. The Rajya Sabha has fewer powers than the Lok Sabha. But it has considerable utility.
