Powers of the Prime Minister are : -
• He/She is the pivot and the entire administration revolves around him/her.
• He/She is the head of the government , as he/She enjoy real powers.
• He/She forms Council of Ministers.
• He/She presides over the meetings of the Cabinet as well as Council of Ministers.
• He/She co - ordinate the working of various departments.
• He/She advise the President to summon or proruge the session or to dissolve the Lok Sabha before it's term expires.
• He/She advice the President about important appointments like that of Chairman of UPSC , Auditor General of India , Ambassadors , etc.
• He/She act as a link between the President and the Cabinet.
