Properties of pseudo-stratified epithelium are :-
*This tissue is a modification of the columnar epithelium which has long and short cells.
*Nucleus is present on different levels of the cells are thus appears to be bilayered.
*The name is pseudo whose meaning is false because it appears to be bilayered but actually it is unilayered.
*Some of the cells are very short to reach the surface while all the cells are present on the single basement layer.

- The presence of pseudostratified columnar epithelium in the upper respiratory tract (composed of the nose, trachea and bronchi) protects the lungs from these irritants. Goblet cells of the epithelium secrete mucus to trap particles and prevent them from traveling further down respiratory passages.
- hope it's helps
