1.the globe is too large to carry anywhere.

2. the globe doesn't give much detailed information.

3.the globe also costs a lot, while the map would cost very little .

Globes are very important for geographical studies and research works.It is basically a solid spherical object which is a miniature form of our earth with maps printed on it's outer surface.

Some disadvantages of these globes are:

1)they are way too big for carry around.

2)they are not well detailed like a paper map.

3) distance and positions are often distorted during the map projection on these globes.
