There are different types of gene library. They are:

• cDNA library – It is stored DNA that is produced as an action of the enzyme reverse transcriptase on the RNAs.
• Genomic library – It consists of the genomic DNA of various organisms like humans, rats, etc.
• Mutant library – It is produced from the artificial synthesis of the nucleotides that are often incorporated in the various bacterial DNAs to produce materials of commercial interest.
